Lots of pictures of the Virgin Mary in Mexico.      Pictures of Christ and stories in the church that they were using for an open house at church.                                Yummy dessert he ate that is ice cream in between a doughnut.                                                     ...

Hola todos, buenos días! This week was kinda weird. To start it off, after our district council Monday night, we took a wrong turn in the streets of Xoxtla, so we didn't catch the convi. So we started walking the hour and a half distance to our houses in Ometoxtla. But then a man picked us up in his car, and took us 1/3 of the distance, and to thank him we shared the Book of Mormon with him. And then a little bit later, a man picked us up in a Convi and took us the rest of the way home. It was pretty cool, God looks out for us. So luckily we didn't get home super late, it was only like 9:30 instead of much later if we would have had to walk the entire distance. We did a good amount of contacting people this week, and we also prepared for our baptism that we had on Sunday. We also went one day with a guy preparing for the mission for like 3 hours just contacting people. It was pretty fun, there was one teenage kid that was about to accept the Book of Mormon, but his...

Hey everyone, buenas tardes! Espero que hayan estado bien! It's been a good week, nice and busy like always. I have my new companion now, he's Elder Haymore. He's from Chandler Arizona, so we have the power of Arizona to lead the zone. And 4/10 people in the zone are from AZ, so that's pretty cool. One thing really great this week was we had a ward mission activity in the Coronango ward. We went and visited a lot of the members who haven't been to church in years, and we contacted a lot of people in Coronango, it was really fun. And we were able to get past some big ol guardian dogs cause I fed them some of my muffin. So that was cool. We also had a lesson with a family where some of them are members, and the dad was there and really drunk and he's never wanted to listen to the missionaries. So we were teaching, and he was mumbling stuff under his breath and then suddenly he stood up and cussed at us. And so his whole family got up and pushed him ...

Personal letter to Parents 2-21-2022

Hey mom and dad, I hope you're well. I figured I ought to write you guys a more personal letter, it's been quite a while haha. Sorry about that. So we will be having transfers tomorrow, and I will be with a different companion now after so long of being with Elder Arias. I don't know much about my new companion Elder Haymore, but I've heard he's super nice, and really quiet but works hard. And I've heard he's from Arizona so that's cool. I think I'll miss Elder Arias because we've been together so long, and I like learning Spanish from a Mexican a lot. And so I'll be in charge of the area, and there is so much work ahead of us, it will be a challenge, I'm excited. We ended this transfer a little discouraged to be honest. We went really hard at the beginning knocking almost all the doors in the Ometoxtla ward and doing everything we could think of to encourage the members. We've done a lot. But this last week, I felt like...

Hey everyone, what's happening? So we have exchanges tomorrow, and it turns out I'll be staying here in this area. My companion will be leaving to the other side of Puebla, and I will be getting another gringo from Arizona. His name is Elder Haymore, I don't know him too well, but I excited. I did still want to be with someone from Mexico to learn more Spanish, but it's all good. We have a lot of work ahead of us, so we'll keep er movin down the line. This week not too much big or crazy happened. We've had a plenitude of meetings, that's for sure. We met with one of the members of the stake presidency on Tuesday to plan on how we can propel the missionary work forward in the stake. We planned on going to every ward council to continue to work on tracking the progress of the copies of the Books of Mormon the members have to share. And as well this next month we have an open house for the stake center in March, so we've been making goals in e...

The blessings of going to church 2-14-2022

Hey everyone! This week wasn't super eventful, not too much happened. We had a lot of lessons cancel, we had to stop teaching some people because they just wouldn't answer, or they wouldn't act in faith to any of our invitations. But it's okay, the Lord will take good care of them. We did have a mission Leadership meeting this week I think. And it was good, we're striving to improve the zone and help the animation of the missionaries. We also had some video calls with the missionaries personally to watch a message from President with them and make some specific goals for the work in their areas. We're hoping that helps quite a bit. We went to visit a person we had given a Book of Mormon this past week, and we ended up being able to serve her and clean all her windows and change her blinds, it was awesome to be able to have spontaneous service. And we taught a good lesson afterwards, we'll see what happens there, she's a teacher in her chu...

Justin baptized Justin! 2-7-2022

Hola damas y caballeros! This week felt pretty long to be honest, but it was pretty good. Our district council last week was pretty interesting, because one companionship in our zone couldn't come, they were in quarantine almost all week, and we're pretty sure it was covid. So they were just on the phone. And they didn't answer the phone or see any of the messages in the mission chat like all week when we tried to call them, so that was interesting. So last night, President had members go to their house at like 11pm to see if they were OK. Tuesday we had 4 lessons which isn't much, but for this area it is. Like 90% of the time people always cancel lessons on us. So we have lots of time door knocking. One of the ladies we taught Tuesday basically knows the Book of Mormon is true, but she doesn't see the need of a church or going to church. So that will be tricky. The thing that's hard too is everyone wants to only meet maybe once a week. So it's...
