Basket Tacos and Semana Santa 4-11-2022

Hello everyone! This was my first week being up here in Tlaxcala, and it was a pretty good week. It was kinda a weird week though, it started off really fast, but Friday Saturday and Sunday felt so long. I'm not sure why. But this area is a lot bigger than I thought it would be, everyone told me it would be a tiny town, but it's a lot bigger than my last Γ‘rea. And this was also my first week in Mexico where I only was serving in one ward. But just yesterday on Sunday, we received another ward to work in, so now we have two wards again.  It's gonna be fun. So throughout this week we have been cleaning out the area records and visiting people that haven't been visited in months. It's been good, we found 5 new people to teach and it's been a good time. But it's been interesting, the members don't seem as willing to help us teach and find. But we'll just show them lots of love and serve them. It'll be fun. We also had a Mission Leadership conference ...

Williams and the Badface / Just a small town country boy 4-4-2022

Hey everyone! I don't have much time to write this week, we have transfers and this time we have to do them on Monday. So I'm leaving my area here in Ometoxtla and Coronango, and I'm actually pretty sad. We've been seeing lots of fruits from our labors finally, and now I'm leaving. But I'm going to Tlaxcala (a different state in Mexico but not far) and it will be in a tiny town too. I guess I'm just a small town boy after all. My new companion is Elder Malacara (badface), I was actually living with him when I first got here. Also, it's been called to my attention I talk too much about food. I apologize, but not really, I just like food. Speaking of, homemade chorizo tacos are really good. πŸ˜‹ Basically we saw lots of super cool miracles this week. Here are some: - we found 10 new people to teach! That's crazy! One of them is a family of 6 and they are so good! - One lady randomly came to our church building Saturday precisely the moment we were walkin...

Heyo 3-28-2022

Hey mom, how's it going? I figured I should write you today. I'm sorry to hear about Grandpa Webb, but he is happy where he is now. I hope all the family is doing well with his passing. When are they planning on the funeral?  Also, I want to fill you in on some stuff. This is probably something you ought to know, but that I don't talk about much. I'm sure you knew as a mother knows that in high school that I liked Mylee. We never did anything, just hung out and spent quality time. And towards the end of high school she told me she wasn't sure she felt the same. And then we went our separate ways after school and i didn't think about it much more. But she kinda emailed me out of nowhere more or less when I got here to Mexico. And we've been emailing like every week since then, and we talk on P-days a bit on Messenger. And she basically told me that she realized she really does like me, and now she's not going on dates cause she wants to see what happens w...

We still have the meats. πŸ˜ͺπŸ’ͺ 3-28-2022

Hey everyone! Espero que se encuentren bien. 😁 So this last P-day I decided to treat myself a little bit. I bought some nice looking hamburger patties, two different kinds of chorizo, and cheese. πŸ€‘ (cheese is not cheap in Mexico) And then we got back home to the apartment and there was no power...😢 And no power means no fridge or freezer. So that wasn't good since I had all this meat. So we put it in the freezer cause it was still kinda cool and prayed the power would be on when we came back. When we came back the power was still off, but I got the inspiration to ask our neighbors if we could use their freezer, and long story short we saved the meats. πŸ™‚ Tuesday we went and did service for the recycling people again. Our job this time was to sort through smoke alarms and take out any metal or anything that wasn't just the plastic. And they had a TON of smoke detectors, i didn't think there would be that many smoke detectors in all of Puebla. The members we...

Hey der everyone! I hope you have all been well and that you're just happy as can be. Because there's always joy to be found even in the hardest of days. Just remember that. 😁 This week was busy as can be, holy cow. To start off on P-day we had to go print some more stuff for this big stake event we had this Friday. Basically this Friday we had an open doors event in the Stake center because this Sunday they re-dedicated the stake. And for the open doors we had the whole zone go, and they had like a tour of all the organizations in the church, so we had the baptismal room and a presentation as well. But I'll come back to that in a minute. On Monday we had to go print more stuff for that, a lot of stuff, and we dry cleaned our suits, and went back to the church to help with filling up the baptismal font for a baptism the ward was going to have. Then we went to our district council, and afterwards we went to meet up for exchanges with the assistants. We got so...

Lesson? What's that? 3-14-2022

Hey everyone! Sorry I didn't write a weekly last week, it was a dang busy pday. So I'll give you a summary of last week the best I can remember. On Pday the 7th, we went to the outlets and i bought some ties and ate McDonald's. It's not that good here either. πŸ˜‚ Then we didn't do too much but we had our district council. A member from LA Joya gave us and the La Joya elders a ride home. I sat in the trunk haha. And I got a picture of a house that was on fire.  On Tuesday almost all of our lessons cancelled. But we did have one. We went with someone who has listened to the missionaries for a long time, but nothing has ever happened. So we went and taught her and brought the Relief Society President, the Primary President, and the Young Women's President. It was a powerful force. πŸ’ͺ On Wednesday we had a couple lessons. One was wild, it was just basically a guy in a video call telling us how there was 3 daggers in Christ's tomb, and Hitler someone...
