Read the Book of Mormon, every night and morning 7-11-2022

Hey everyone! This week flew by, it was super crazy. We had a lot of success giving out copies of the Book if MormΓ³n like our president challenged us last week. We gave out 41 copies of the Book of Mormon, it was crazy. On Wednesday we actually gave 12 in one day. Super good stuff. We also taught a bunch of lessons and it was super good, we found 6 new people to teach, but I'm sure we'll find more to teach this next week from all the books that we gave. And we had 10 people come to church so that was super cool. Miracles are real. We also had a Mission leadership council in Puebla, it was also really good. It was focused a lot on the brand new missionaries we got and will be getting and how to set the mission culture in the right way for them. It's kinda hard for me to think of how to apply it, cause there are no new missionaries in our zone, and I won't be here when the new ones get here. But it was crazy to think about when I got to the mission and what it was like. I...

Happy 4th of July!!! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŽ† 7-4-2022

Hey everyone, it's your güero friend here again. I hope you are all well and that you have a great 4th of July today! This week has been good as always, we've been busy as can be. We have had a lot of work and lessons in the Totolac Ward, and we have spent a lot of time finding and contacting in the Tule Ward. There isn't as much happening in the Tule Ward, most people we find to teach just lose interest or disappear like after a week. But in Totolac we have seen a lot of blessings in finding people that want to learn and grow and make promises with God. It's been great all around. We had a mission conference this week and that was super cool. It's my second to last one. 🀯 I kinda don't like the thought of that. But our mission president challenged us to give out 3 copies of the Book of Mormon per missionary each day. So we have to give at least 6 each day. The conference was Friday, and so Saturday we gave out 7 books, and yesterday on Sunday we had a super co...

Covid's not dead 6-27-2022

Hey everyone! Sorry I didn't get around to writing a weekly letter last week, I kinda had no motivation to do it haha. As you can probably guess from the title, I got Covid. I got sick Sunday and we had to stay at home basically this whole last week. It wasn't too fun to be honest. But now we're out again so that's good. So the story is two Thursdays ago I had exchanges with Elder Alvarez in Zacatelco and I went and did a baptismal interview in person and that persons mom had Covid... I didn't know it at the time but the elders called me and told me, and then I got Covid. Yay.  But anyways, to report on two weeks ago  it was actually a really really good week! I had exchanges with Elder Alvarez and Elder Trevino and it was great. And we found 9 new people to teach and 12 of our friends that we invited came to church, it was a great time. We also had a baptism! Our friend Erendira got baptized and it was so great. She was so ready to make covenants with God and it wa...

Hey everyone!  I hope you all have been well. I heard that there was some rain in Show Low this last week and that was an awesome answer to prayers. I know how it gets around those parts this time of year. πŸ˜… This week has been good for me. It's been a time of a lot of reflecting on what I can change and do better as a missionary. I learned a lot this week. The majority focused on service and charity the pure love of Christ. To start off, we had exchanges with the assistants. I went with Elder Hernandez, he's the new assistant and he's from Chihuahua. It was a really good day, I learned a lot and I actually enjoyed our exchange. I haven't really enjoyed exchanges with the assistants in the past. But we worked hard, we invited Kevin who is the son of Erendira to be baptized and he accepted! We also gave out 6 copies of the Book of Mormon and taught some other good lessons. We talked a lot that night, cause he wanted to know my thoughts on why we weren't having a ton ...

Anti-Santa Claus / Chicken hearted 6-6-2022

Hey everyone! What's up! Que tranza? It's been a super great week again, maybe it's cause the mission is just so great. πŸ€” But for reals, this is some good stuff. Here's some highlights and stuff. - We went to a lesson with Erendira (the lady that gave us chicken soup last week) and she was telling us all about her experiences reading the Book of Mormon, and then she said she wants to be baptized. πŸ’ͺ And then when she came to church, she was the first person to bear her testimony, and it was so powerful. She's ready for the gospel. - We also were teaching a guy named Valentin on the phone, and he's been going through some hard times, and he said he wants to be baptized too. So we set a goal for him to be baptized in July, we'll see what happens.  - We found 8 new people to teach, two of them were from us sharing the Book of Mormon, 5 of them were from working with members, and the other one is Erendiras son. It's been so cool to see all the blessings tha...

Happy Memorial Day! 5-30-2022

Hey everyone!! Happy Memorial Day!!!! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡² I may not be in the United States to celebrate it, but I can still take the time to remember those who have fought for our freedoms and rights, and I will always be grateful for those brave men and women. Also I'm using an American flag tie today so that's cool. This week went really well. We have been very busy. We've visited lots of members, and we have given lots of copies of the Book of Mormon, and we found 10 new people to teach! It was some awesome stuff. But sadly only 4 people came to church, so that was a bit of a bummer. I also got kinda sick for just a couple days (thanks to my companion πŸ™„πŸ˜‚) I realized it was the first time I got sick on the mission that didn't have to do with my stomach. So I had a headache and little sore throat and the works. But we went out anyways and taught and found, I just made sure to bring extra hand sanitizer and the works. And everything went well, I was only sick for a couple d...

The harvest is great and the laborers are few. 5-23-2022

Hola a todos! This was a good first week to start off this transfer. We invited 2 people to be baptized, we found 4 new people to teach, we gave 25 copies of the Book of MormΓ³n to people and we had 10 people come to church. It was great. 😁  My new companion Elder Webster is really good, he is probably the best at contacting and most dedicated that I've seen on the mission. He always contacts people on the convis, which I hate doing so that's cool. And he always contacts girls around our age and he always gets their numbers and gives them a Book of Mormon. πŸ˜‚ So it's been fun and interesting to watch. And he definitely is from the Midwest. He reminds me a little bit of Michigan, because the people in Michigan talk quite a bit. And he does too. He's good. So this week we had a devotional as a mission and we read a letter together that was from Elder Gong (one of the apostles in the world today) and it was directed to all of Mexico. In the letter he said many times "...
