Anti-Santa Claus / Chicken hearted 6-6-2022
Hey everyone! What's up! Que tranza?
It's been a super great week again, maybe it's cause the mission is just so great. π€ But for reals, this is some good stuff. Here's some highlights and stuff.
- We went to a lesson with Erendira (the lady that gave us chicken soup last week) and she was telling us all about her experiences reading the Book of Mormon, and then she said she wants to be baptized. πͺ And then when she came to church, she was the first person to bear her testimony, and it was so powerful. She's ready for the gospel.
- We also were teaching a guy named Valentin on the phone, and he's been going through some hard times, and he said he wants to be baptized too. So we set a goal for him to be baptized in July, we'll see what happens.
- We found 8 new people to teach, two of them were from us sharing the Book of Mormon, 5 of them were from working with members, and the other one is Erendiras son. It's been so cool to see all the blessings that come from working with members. Cause we don't have nearly as much success just knocking on doors and contacting, although we still do.
- Two of the new people we found to teach are a couple, and they were telling us that they got married when she was 12 YEARS OLD. π³π³
- There was a girl falling asleep on my companions shoulder in the convi, and me and another random woman were kinda laughing. π
- There's a lady we found that has probably read the book of Mormon more times than me and says she loves it, but she doesn't want anything to do with the church. I've never seen anything like it.
- My comp doesn't even knock these days, he just opens the door on his own. π
- We had a mission leadership council and it was really good as always. We got to review ratios and stuff in the mission and talk about how we can improve as a whole. And then after we went back to Tlaxcala, ate and had a meeting with our Stake President. And I was pretty tired at the end of the day. Meetings make me really tired.
- Also salted and burned a slug
- I'm starting to have a harder time staying awake in some lessons. π
- We had exchanges with the Elderes en Zacatelco and I was with Elder Sandoval, it was a good time.
- I ate chicken feet for the first time and chicken heart. But I'm not chicken hearted.
- We've had some lessons with a family a bunch, and there's 3 cousins that are all 11 years old it's a lot of fun. But they gave me and my companion toys, so we're like opposite of Santa Claus. π³
- We had a fire ward council in Totolac and made a ward mission plan.
- we're just happy.
I love you all, and have a great week!
