Mi compañero se pasó de lanza 2-21-2022

Hey everyone, what's happening?

So we have exchanges tomorrow, and it turns out I'll be staying here in this area. My companion will be leaving to the other side of Puebla, and I will be getting another gringo from Arizona. His name is Elder Haymore, I don't know him too well, but I excited. I did still want to be with someone from Mexico to learn more Spanish, but it's all good. We have a lot of work ahead of us, so we'll keep er movin down the line.

This week not too much big or crazy happened. We've had a plenitude of meetings, that's for sure. We met with one of the members of the stake presidency on Tuesday to plan on how we can propel the missionary work forward in the stake. We planned on going to every ward council to continue to work on tracking the progress of the copies of the Books of Mormon the members have to share. And as well this next month we have an open house for the stake center in March, so we've been making goals in every ward council. So we've been to several wars councils haha. We have also been planning for this big ward mission/reactivation activity that we'll have this Saturday in one of our wards. So we hope that all will go well and according to plan.

We found some opportunities to do some service which was great, we helped paint a house in our missionary clothes, and I enjoyed it a lot. It was good to do something that I'm used to. We also helped clean the church with the members which felt really good. And we just helped people with whatever little thing they've needed. And we've visited lots of members to share messages with them.

We also went and ate with a sister this week, and when we arrived she was pretty mad at us.😬 A different sister in the ward had told her that the day before she was supposed to feed us, so she prepared everything but we never came. So when we came she wasn't happy and we didn't know what to do. So we just ate day old food, luckily she wasn't mad at us for long so all is well.

I also ate grasshoppers this week. They're super expensive here and everyone likes them. I thought they were pretty good, nothing much to it, haha. Also we ate a meal that was just lots of vegetables and then hashbrowns (Tortas de papa) and i liked that too. It wasn't much, but I felt healthier afterwards.

We're also teaching a young teacher the gospel right now, and she's been stressing a lot cause she's still taking classes to get a better degree. And so we were talking about tests, and my companion taught her how he cheated on a test way back when in school. 🤦‍♂️ She got a good laugh, but I thought that was pretty wild.

Also, we ran out of hot water this week, and then the water all turned to hot and there was no more cold. And then two nights our ceiling decided to leak water on my bed. So the water situation has been weird.

But if there's anything I learned from this week, it's that God can always work through the small and simple things. I had the opportunity to give two blessings and I knew what to say and didn't have trouble saying it in Spanish. And in one of our wards, they gave us the assignment to speak in Sacrament without notice. But I was able to speak sufficiently what I needed to say, and I felt the spirit pretty strong, so I hope everyone did as well. But heads up, it's harder to speak Spanish when you start crying jaja.

That's been about it this week, we're going to have a crazy P-day today. I hope you all have some crazy fun moments this week. 🤪

Take care, I love you all! ❤
