Panotla, Tezoquipan, San Pablo del Monte, San Pablo Xochimehuacan ... Arkansas?? 5-9-2022
Hey what's up everyone! I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. I hope that you all got something or did something for your mothers and I hope that all you mothers didn't go unappreciated yesterday. I love you all, thank you for what you do for your families and the examples you show to the world. Keep it up! π
This week was pretty busy, and I was all over the place. We had exchanges twice, and we had a mission leadership council in Puebla that was really good. I also gave a talk yesterday in church, and we found some new people and invited some people to be baptized. π
So we started off some exchanges last Monday night with the Elders from Tezoquipan and it was a good old time. I went in their area with the district leader Elder Gomez, and it was a good day. We taught some members, invited 3 people to be baptized and they all accepted. One of the coolest parts was visiting a recent convert family, and they shared their testimonies with us of how the gospel has changed their lives so much and it was so awesome. The gospel changes everyone's life, trust me.
I didn't get back to my area until Wednesday morning, and that day we went over to the Totolac ward and we taught this guy named Jesus Cordero Salvatierra (yes that's his real name, super cool) and he's great. We visited another sister and invited her 3 grandkids to be baptized, and they accepted. We got fed burgers that day. πͺ Then the assistants came that night to sleep at our house, and we didn't get home until like 10. π¬
The next day, Elder Lockwood and I went to the assistants area which is the Barrio Malinche, and we went to work. It was a good day, we got to teach a good amount of people. And then the others Elders came back down to spend the night in preparation for the MLC.
Friday morning we had the council, and it was really good as always. The faith and love and success in this mission has been escalating even though every transfer we have less and less missionaries. (Right now we have 70). It's great. So we had to travel back to Tlaxcala and we taught a couple lessons to finish the night.
Saturday I was a little tired to be honest from all the events we'd had during the week. But we had the opportunity to give a blessing to a person that's not a member, and that's always cool. We had a few lessons that day too.
Sunday I was asked to give a talk at church, kinda last minute, but I'm used to that by now. Thats what we do in lessons all the time. I was going to give a talk about Mothers Day, but my companion told me Mother's Day in Mexico isn't until Tuesday. So I gave a talk based on what President Nelson talked about in General Conference. I think it was OK. Afterwards we were invited to Ward Council for the first time in this area, so that's a good sign. Things are going a little better with the members.
Also, we got new beds this morning, God is good! (My last bed had like a crater in it. π)
I love you all, have a great week!
