Milagros y el don de lenguas Oct 25-2021!

 Hola everyone!

This week has been really good! We experienced some miracles, and at times I have actually been able to speak Spanish! I'll share some experiences with you!

First off, there have been a few times this week where I have struck up conversations on a convi (smaller bus) with someone, and I was able to have a full conversation. It was crazy! Because normally, I'm not able to understand what people say, or express what I want to say, buy I was,  and it was cool, really cool. One of those ladies wasn't really interested, but we got to talk about her family and the culture here in Mexico so that was really neat. I know it wasn't my knowledge in Spanish that allowed me to communicate with some of these people.

For some reason though, these past 2 days I haven't been able able understand or speak Spanish as well as other times this week, and it's been a little frustrating. But I learned most from this experience how it really is a gift from God to be able to speak and understand a new language. I think that's what I was supposed to be taught from these past two days. It's not me doing this work, I'm just willing to be here and open my mouth. (Sometimes I am afraid to open my mouth, but it's getting better and better)

So here's some of the miracles we had this week that I wanted to share with you all. First of all, we had ten of our non member friends attend church with us this Sunday, it was crazy! Normally one of the harder things to do as missionaries is getting our friends to church.

As well, our friend Arely who is preparing for baptism, invited one of her friends to join us for lessons. The spirit is just so powerful in those lessons, and her friend is definitely going to get baptized too.

We went over to have a meal with a member this week, and she had a younger friend join us too, and he had a 1 year old son. This one year old speaks way better Spanish than me, and he's 1! Definitely the smartest 1 year old I know, but that wasn't the miracle. We shared the restoration with this friend, and you should've seen his eyes. It was a powerful experience, and moved him deeply. Afterwards, we wanted to end with a prayer, but he didn't know how to pray. So we had this member give one for an example, and she started crying. Then he offered a prayer, and got really emotional. And it was just powerful. It's sad, because he lives outside our area.

I also had an exchange with Elder Doyle where we saw miracles, almost every person we talked to in the streets that day, we got their number! And he taught me a lot about spiritual and physical awareness to look for opportunities to serve others. At one moment, he ran across the road and started helping two guys push a car I didn't even see. So I will try to serve more as he did.

That's basically what I wanted to share this week, God is good and He is real! He loves you, don't forget!
