Tres Dias en Mexico! 9-25-2021
Hola todos! So my P-day is Saturday for now.
So I made it down here safe to Mexico on Tuesday, and I am doing well! I don't understand the language really that much, so that's frustrating sometimes but I'm learning lots of patience! But I get lots of time each day to study Spanish which is good!
My companions name is Elder Robinson, he's from Bountiful Utah! Thankfully his Spanish is pretty good though. Mine is not so good yet. 😂 I also live with Elder Malacara (bad face) and Elder Albrecht (who was in my MTC district). It's a good time! We kind of work as a 4 man companionship right now, and it's kinda interesting. We are in what's called the Facebook zone. We don't get to use Facebook find through our own personal profiles, we just run a Facebook page. It's not my favorite, but that's not all we do thankfully.
We are also allowed to go in the streets to find people (which we haven't gotten to do yet) and we call through area book a lot. We have tons and tons of green and yellow dots. (Green dots mean people that are being taught, and yellow is people that are interested) And almost everyone that picks up the phone wants to hear a message from us, it's crazy! So we've been setting up lesson after lesson, it's such a blessing. We have a baptism this Sunday that I made a program for, so that's pretty cool! The work is good here.
The weather in Puebla is perfect, it rains every day a little bit, and we have some massive mountains near us, it's awesome. I had a window seat flying into Mexico, I was lucky. I do miss Michigan, but I'm doing good here. Living the dream!
We also didn't have water yesterday at all, which was quite the experience! No bathroom, no washing hands, no drinking water, nothing. We just barely got it back this morning haha. We found out there is a pump to a well we need to use every once and a while, so that's good to know for the future.
Love you all, have a great week!
