Goodbye Michigan 9-20-2021

 Well, my time has come. I will be leaving Michigan in about 13 hours. It has been the best year of my life up this point. And I am going to miss Michigan and the people and the missionaries so much. It's been such a good time here. But Mexico will also be a party! I can't wait to not be able to talk to anyone, haha. Not really, but it will be good!


We had a super Zone Conference this week, and it was different than normal! We weren't in normal missionary clothes like suits and white shirts, but we wore t-shirts and went on a hike! We also had a sit down with a lot of trainings and spiritual discussions, it was really good! That same day we went to meet with a new friend named Kayleigh, and she had 3 other friends with her that wanted to learn more! It was so cool, and a huge miracle! Because of that we were able to find 4 new people to teach! 

I also went to Allegan on exchange with Elder Ballard, and it was so good! I had a great time, and we found a couple people to teach downtown.

We had a decent amount of other lessons too, it was a good week for how busy it was! We met with a guy named Ben that is very analytical and has studied like every religion extensively. He has a very hard time with having faith, so it was kinda hard teaching him, but he's really good. We also met with some members, and a lot of them are going through hard times right now. So we have been trying to help them out. 

I also said goodbye to Elder Duersch on Thursday when he went to Brazil, and goodbye to Elder Findlay when he went home on Friday. And I bore my testimony to the whole mission yesterday and just broke down. It's hard to leave. But I've learned things here that can never be taken away from me. I am grateful for Michigan! And I am grateful for my companion for the last week, Elder Leavitt. He is so good, I love him! And I love all of you, have a great week! Next week you will be hearing from me in Mexico!!😢😢

  Hello everyone! This week has been such a good week! We had some more Elders over to do exchanges with the Zone Leaders this week and it was really fun! And we got to do exchanges ourselves! It was a blast, we had the Gaylord Elders over and the Petoskey Elders. It was super fun, every time we have Elders come over we go to this soda shop called Rocket Fizz. I've been there so many times since I've been here, they  have all these fun flavors of soda! There are so many, and they are all come in bottles. When we are done we smash them with our bare hands. Yeah, that's right. We had a lot of good lessons this week, we met with Jon a few times, Shelly a few times, the Millner family a few times, Maida a few times, and it was great! The only light I need is the light of Christ! 10-2-2021

  Hey everyone! So Mexico has still been treating me well. I have been having more appointments with the bathroom this week, and we haven't had power in our apartment since Wednesday. And now we're out of gas for our water heater. But it's all good because the Gospel is true! Don't worry, it still has been a good week, we had a lot of blessings and cool experiences. We had a baptism for our friend Rosa García so that was awesome. They had me conduct so I could work on my Spanish, I didn't want to but it turned out okay.  Rosa was definitely prepared, and she is so good! Her daughter was baptized a few months ago, and I think that's what's been helping her coming into the church and believing all of it. They fed us breakfast one morning since we don't have power and brought us tacos one night. They're so good! Jeffrey R. Holland, Ice cream, and Water for Baptisms 11-8-2021

Hello everyone! So this week was crazy as normal, and I know I always say this, but there was a lot of miracles! Some brief stuff: It was one of the missionaries birthdays in our zone so we went and bought him a cake and celebrated with him for like 20 min. We visited Central Puebla last P-day, and it's full of shops and culture, it's so cool! And today we went to this cool burger place, the shakes were wild! We had baptismal interviews that went well for our friends thanks to our district leader and mission president. My Spanish has come a long way since I've got here, God is good. It's all Him in this work! I bought some Halloween mask, and yeah. It's really funny too, because kids only want money instead of candy for Halloween. 😂 And they dressed up and did that for 4 days after Halloween too!
