To the Zoo! 8-9-2021

 Hey everyone!


Sorry I didn't get an individual email out to anyone, it turns out I'm transferring again! So I've been very busy packing, and we had a district P-day. It's really crazy I'm leaving again after one transfer, and Elder Harding is leaving too. I'm going to Kalamazoo (the zoo) to be a zone leader there. I will be serving on a college campus (WMU) and will be in a singles ward! So it will be a new experience for sure.

We built a lot of momentum this last week of the transfer and had a lot of fun! We met all of our goals for building momentum week which was amazing! And we saw many miracles. We found and taught 5 new people, handed out close to 10 copies of the Book of Mormon, and felt the spirit a lot. At one point a lesson fell through, and I felt prompted to knock on one house. We went and knocked on it and had a great conversation with her and gave her a Book of Mormon. So that was super cool! 

We also experienced a lot of East Side Saginaw this week which is a famous ghetto. People are a lot more receptive to the gospel there but harder to get in contact with. And some of the people that we see there I feel so bad for. Drugs have taken a huge impact on their lives, they live in terrible situations, and live in fear almost constantly. But I know that our Father in Heaven is mindful of them and we're trying to help them have the gospel in their lives. Because the gospel really does change lives forever for good. I just pray and hope the best for them. I have loved serving here in Saginaw.

This P-day we played basketball on the most ghetto outdoor court I've ever seen. There was broken glass all over, but it was great! And we went to Frankenmuth as a district which is a small fancy German style town. It was super cool! We played disc golf, and then went in the biggest Christmas store in the world. But yeah, that was my week!

  Hello everyone! This week has been such a good week! We had some more Elders over to do exchanges with the Zone Leaders this week and it was really fun! And we got to do exchanges ourselves! It was a blast, we had the Gaylord Elders over and the Petoskey Elders. It was super fun, every time we have Elders come over we go to this soda shop called Rocket Fizz. I've been there so many times since I've been here, they  have all these fun flavors of soda! There are so many, and they are all come in bottles. When we are done we smash them with our bare hands. Yeah, that's right. We had a lot of good lessons this week, we met with Jon a few times, Shelly a few times, the Millner family a few times, Maida a few times, and it was great! The only light I need is the light of Christ! 10-2-2021

  Hey everyone! So Mexico has still been treating me well. I have been having more appointments with the bathroom this week, and we haven't had power in our apartment since Wednesday. And now we're out of gas for our water heater. But it's all good because the Gospel is true! Don't worry, it still has been a good week, we had a lot of blessings and cool experiences. We had a baptism for our friend Rosa García so that was awesome. They had me conduct so I could work on my Spanish, I didn't want to but it turned out okay.  Rosa was definitely prepared, and she is so good! Her daughter was baptized a few months ago, and I think that's what's been helping her coming into the church and believing all of it. They fed us breakfast one morning since we don't have power and brought us tacos one night. They're so good! Also bus rides here you have to hold on for life!  I wonder how often they have to replace their brakes, they use them a ton. But we rode the b...

Jeffrey R. Holland, Ice cream, and Water for Baptisms 11-8-2021

Hello everyone! So this week was crazy as normal, and I know I always say this, but there was a lot of miracles! Some brief stuff: It was one of the missionaries birthdays in our zone so we went and bought him a cake and celebrated with him for like 20 min. We visited Central Puebla last P-day, and it's full of shops and culture, it's so cool! And today we went to this cool burger place, the shakes were wild! We had baptismal interviews that went well for our friends thanks to our district leader and mission president. My Spanish has come a long way since I've got here, God is good. It's all Him in this work! I bought some Halloween mask, and yeah. It's really funny too, because kids only want money instead of candy for Halloween. 😂 And they dressed up and did that for 4 days after Halloween too!
