Storms in Saginaw 7-26-2021
Hey everyone!
We worked a lot this week as well with
members, even more than last week! And we got to celebrate some
birthdays in the Zone, and we did some more service! We only had one
exchange with Bay City 2 again this week, and that was fun! Things are
starting to build here in Saginaw, but we are still trying really hard
to find people to teach. We also experienced a Michigan storm. It was
super short and super powerful, some tornadoes even happened pretty
close.
Meeting with members has been such a
blessing. It's so amazing to feel their spirit and love for missionary
work and how much they love the gospel and want to share it with others.
I feel things are going to pop off soon with new people to teach.
It
was also Elder Chilcote's birthday on Wednesday and Elder Flamm's on
Friday. So that was cool. We had a party with most of the Zone today for
P-day and made some crepes and played some games. Needless to say, we
haven't been eating healthy this week either.
We
did some more service for Don and Ann on Saturday and pulled some more
weeds and mulched their flower beds. Next door to them was an abandoned
house with a pool in the backyard. It was super overgrown and there was
plants growing in the pool too. It was kinda cool to see. Right after
that we did service for another lady named Jackie, and that was super
amazing. We moved some couches and furniture, and afterwards she wanted
us to pray together. Hopefully we'll be doing Bible studies soon
with her.
We had a miracle as well this
Saturday. We were dropping off a Book of Mormon of to a new lady that we
taught over the phone and she wanted the book. While we were walking up
to her door another lady that was driving stopped when she saw us. She
was like "Are y'all Mormons?" And she said she was looking for us and
wanted to learn about our church and wanted a Book of Mormon as well. So
we stopped by her house and talked a bit and gave her a Book of Mormon.
She really wants to change her life, and we know that Jesus Christ can
do that. Her name was Kenisha.
Things are going
well here I'm Saginaw! I'm grateful for the rain that I heard you got
back home in AZ. The Lord does answer prayers! Have a good week!
