Mission tour with Elder Bennett 5-31-2021

 Hello everyone!


This week has been super busy, and super good so I will try and make this quick! We had the wonderful opportunity to receive council and training from Elder Randall K. Bennett of the General Authority Seventy this week! It was such a wonderful and eye-opening experience for me! Overall it was about 8 hours over 4 days, and I could've done a lot more! There was so many things he taught us and the spirit taught us, I won't be able to tell you all of it. Some of the things he asked us to focus on is living the two great commandments and loving members. And I have gained such a greater love for the members since then!

He also invited us to pray more than ever before, so now I pray before every phone call I make! It's brought some great experiences and cool miracles! And he asked us to pray with all the energy of heart for charity, which was super cool, because that's what I picked for our commitment for district council last week! The spirit really knows how to prepare us in advance!

We had a great Sunday Devotional as well from President and Sister Heap! They felt impressed to share of their experiences with meeting Apostles, and then they challenged us to pray that an Apostle will want to come to our mission and prepare ourselves for that. And they promised if we did that an Apostle will come! How cool is that! There's been no news of an Apostle coming, but they felt inspired by the spirit to do that meeting!

One cool experience we had as well was meeting with this lady names Lisa. Lisa has lost the ability to walk within the past year which has been really hard for her. She expressed she just wanted to serve God, that's all she wanted. And she broke into tears because she feels she's lost that chance because she can't walk anymore. It was such a tender moment to see her love of God, and that she was sad not for herself, but because she felt like she couldn't serve God. So we assured her she could still serve God, so that was really amazing!

We also had tradeoffs with Gaylord, and it was a good time! We got to teach a guy named Jimmy from Gaylord, and go to Pompeyos which is a Mexican restaurant. We got huge deep fried burritos which weren't really burritos. So that was cool.

  Hello everyone! This week has been such a good week! We had some more Elders over to do exchanges with the Zone Leaders this week and it was really fun! And we got to do exchanges ourselves! It was a blast, we had the Gaylord Elders over and the Petoskey Elders. It was super fun, every time we have Elders come over we go to this soda shop called Rocket Fizz. I've been there so many times since I've been here, they  have all these fun flavors of soda! There are so many, and they are all come in bottles. When we are done we smash them with our bare hands. Yeah, that's right. We had a lot of good lessons this week, we met with Jon a few times, Shelly a few times, the Millner family a few times, Maida a few times, and it was great! Divisiones y Abuelitas 👵🏽👂👩🏾‍🦽🚗💨 3-21-2022

 Hey der everyone! I hope you have all been well and that you're just happy as can be. Because there's always joy to be found even in the hardest of days. Just remember that. 😁 This week was busy as can be, holy cow. To start off on P-day we had to go print some more stuff for this big stake event we had this Friday. Basically this Friday we had an open doors event in the Stake center because this Sunday they re-dedicated the stake. And for the open doors we had the whole zone go, and they had like a tour of all the organizations in the church, so we had the baptismal room and a presentation as well. But I'll come back to that in a minute. On Monday we had to go print more stuff for that, a lot of stuff, and we dry cleaned our suits, and went back to the church to help with filling up the baptismal font for a baptism the ward was going to have. The only light I need is the light of Christ! 10-2-2021

  Hey everyone! So Mexico has still been treating me well. I have been having more appointments with the bathroom this week, and we haven't had power in our apartment since Wednesday. And now we're out of gas for our water heater. But it's all good because the Gospel is true! Don't worry, it still has been a good week, we had a lot of blessings and cool experiences. We had a baptism for our friend Rosa García so that was awesome. They had me conduct so I could work on my Spanish, I didn't want to but it turned out okay.  Rosa was definitely prepared, and she is so good! Her daughter was baptized a few months ago, and I think that's what's been helping her coming into the church and believing all of it. They fed us breakfast one morning since we don't have power and brought us tacos one night. They're so good! Also bus rides here you have to hold on for life!  I wonder how often they have to replace their brakes, they use them a ton. But we rode the b...
