Best Week Ever!!! 5-10-2021

Hello everyone!

This week has been super crazy and super amazing! We had a ton going on, I will try to summarize.

Monday: We met with Maida again, and it was great! And we had a lesson over the phone with a new guy named Mike, it was so cool! He said that as soon as he wanted to come closer to God in his life, I reached out to him! And he turned away from God for a while, but now he is coming back, and he is so eager to learn more!

Tuesday: We did some service at Habitat for Humanity and our lessons fell through.

Wednesday: We had all four of the Petoskey elders come over, so we had 8 people in our apartment! And we had 6 lessons that day! 3 of them were with members, and it was great! And one of them we walked and talked with a guy about life experiences and God for like an hour and a half, it was great! He has a long road ahead of him, but he is willing to meet with us, so that is amazing! Another lesson was with a new guy named Mark, and he was kinda the same as Mike. He realized he needed to come closer to God and learn more about Jesus, and I reached out at the perfect time he said! That is no coincidence!

Thursday: We had the APs come over and spend the night, and we were able to do a lot of Facebook work and saw some miracles doing that! And we went to eat at a place called "Blue Tractor Barbecue" and got a lot of meat! Good stuff! 

Friday: We met with Shelly and we had zone conference which was so amazing! We talked a lot about increasing our faith and the Plan of Salvation, and I learned a lot! And afterwards we went to Costco for dinner and got some ice cream from this place called Moomers! It was a really good day!

Saturday: We went and did some more service at Habitat for Humanity which was good as always! And we met with a new guy I found on Facebook named Jonathan, and we went on like an hour and a half walk as well! He shared a lot of life experiences and how he's come to know Jesus. And it's a miracle he's even alive right now, he had a bad accident about 25 years ago. And so it was cool to be able to talk with him, and we shared a bit about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon!

Sunday: We got the opportunity to have President and Sister Heap visit our branch! President Heap interviewed Shelly for baptism after church, and he said she is good to go! So that's awesome, Shelly will be baptized Saturday if all goes well! So please keep her in your prayers! It was great to see President and Sister Heap, and they are so great! And the rest of the day we worked with some of the inactive members and had a great Devotional!

Monday: Today we went to Mackinac Island with our district and the Sault district! That was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had! It was so pretty even though not everything has blossomed yet. Crazy story though, we had two elders from the Sault district wander off and we couldn't find them for a few hours. And of course neither of them had the sim card. So that was super stressful, but thanks to prayers and us all looking, we found them! So that was good. All in all, it was the coolest thing ever!

  Hello everyone! This week has been such a good week! We had some more Elders over to do exchanges with the Zone Leaders this week and it was really fun! And we got to do exchanges ourselves! It was a blast, we had the Gaylord Elders over and the Petoskey Elders. It was super fun, every time we have Elders come over we go to this soda shop called Rocket Fizz. I've been there so many times since I've been here, they  have all these fun flavors of soda! There are so many, and they are all come in bottles. When we are done we smash them with our bare hands. Yeah, that's right. We had a lot of good lessons this week, we met with Jon a few times, Shelly a few times, the Millner family a few times, Maida a few times, and it was great! The only light I need is the light of Christ! 10-2-2021

  Hey everyone! So Mexico has still been treating me well. I have been having more appointments with the bathroom this week, and we haven't had power in our apartment since Wednesday. And now we're out of gas for our water heater. But it's all good because the Gospel is true! Don't worry, it still has been a good week, we had a lot of blessings and cool experiences. We had a baptism for our friend Rosa García so that was awesome. They had me conduct so I could work on my Spanish, I didn't want to but it turned out okay.  Rosa was definitely prepared, and she is so good! Her daughter was baptized a few months ago, and I think that's what's been helping her coming into the church and believing all of it. They fed us breakfast one morning since we don't have power and brought us tacos one night. They're so good! Jeffrey R. Holland, Ice cream, and Water for Baptisms 11-8-2021

Hello everyone! So this week was crazy as normal, and I know I always say this, but there was a lot of miracles! Some brief stuff: It was one of the missionaries birthdays in our zone so we went and bought him a cake and celebrated with him for like 20 min. We visited Central Puebla last P-day, and it's full of shops and culture, it's so cool! And today we went to this cool burger place, the shakes were wild! We had baptismal interviews that went well for our friends thanks to our district leader and mission president. My Spanish has come a long way since I've got here, God is good. It's all Him in this work! I bought some Halloween mask, and yeah. It's really funny too, because kids only want money instead of candy for Halloween. 😂 And they dressed up and did that for 4 days after Halloween too!
