Transfers and Easter and Conference Oh My! 4-5-2021
What is up everybody! HAPPY EASTER!!
This has been
such an amazing week, I will always remember it! First of all, it was
the last week of the transfer and the last week training Elder Roberts,
so that's exciting! So it turns out I will be STAYING in TC another
transfer!?!? That's so crazy, I am so excited!! Elder Clark is coming up
from Grand Rapids tomorrow, and it will be a blast! I've heard he is
from Arizona as well! Elder Roberts is going down to Lansing, and Elder
Hatch is going to zone lead over the Grand Rapids zone now. It will be
weird not living with him, we've lived together 6 months now. They will
be missed!
We were also able to have Jon's
baptism yesterday, and what an amazing experience that was! He was so
ready to accept the gospel in his life when we first met him, he is
amazing! He has such a love for the scriptures and has studied the bible
his whole life, but he said the Bible didn't completely make sense
until he read the Book of Mormon! He completely read the Book of Mormon
and Doctrine and Covenants in less than a month, he is such a faith
builder to me! Elder Roberts had the opportunity to baptize him right
before he is leaving, so that was really cool to see too! And not only
was it Jon's baptism yesterday, but it was Easter as well! What a
special time it is to reflect on our Savior Jesus Christ and His death
and resurrection! I am so grateful for Him and the blessings He so
freely gives me, that's why I'm out there in the first place! Easter
was wonderful, we were able to watch divinely inspired talks from the
General Conference, and we were given the challenge by our beloved
prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, to look for ways to increase our
faith! So I decided to increase my faith, I want to study Jesus the
Christ by James E. Talmage when I have spare time. I love it so far, and
I would recommend each of you to read it as well!
And
we have been so blessed by food this week too! Members find a way to
sneak us food, especially for holidays! Haha. And shout out to my
parents for getting us steaks! They were absolutely amazing! And we had
the Elders from Sault St. Marie came over on Thursday, that was really
fun! We went to Buffalo Wild Wings, and Elder Roberts got the hottest
wings, but he handled them like a champ! I also made a cheesecake, so
that was fun! We definitely ate it up for our last week together!
We
had some great lessons this week as well again, David is super solid
and he really feels that what we have taught him is inspired, so that's
really cool to see! The spirit does direct to people's needs if we pay
attention and follow it! And like Elder Rasband said this weekend, we
have witnessed more miracles than we realize! And we met with this guy
in Uganda named Wasirwa, he is trying to teach other people about the
Lord, and we are teaching him! He was so excited to hear about the Book
of Mormon, it was amazing! And Shelly, (Who is on baptismal date for
April 24) had some interesting stuff come up. So please pray for her.
And Joe, who was on date, got in contact again with us today and wants
to meet! So that is a miracle! Miracles are around you! Just keep
looking for them!
Thank you for all your support and love, here's to another fun transfer!
