Door Knocking has Commenced! 4-26-2021

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to ye olde weekly from Elder Williams! It has seriously been a crazy week, we are always doing something! We called through the rest of the members that haven't been to church in a long time, and then we have started knocking on their doors! Which is super cool! We can only knock on members doors as of right now though. We found out the church records are way old though, one guy hadn't lived at the address we had for 5 years. And one house looked like it hadn't been used for months.

Because of this push we are doing to help out some of the members, we have gotten to meet with some of the members and it's been really special. Most of them didn't even know we had church in person back yet. And it's always cool to meet new people, they are still disappointed they can't feed us meals yet. As are we.

We also had to take Shelly off of her date for baptism which was really sad. She just isn't quite ready yet, and there's some things we need to work out with her. So please keep her in your prayers. And Maida is still doing really great! Besides that we are struggling a bit right now with people to teach. So we are doing the best we can to find people to teach.

Last P-day we played disc golf which was super fun! It's always nice to get out of the apartment, and it was a really fun course! We may have to go again sometime. And we got to do some service again at Habitat for Humanity, and we got to smash some cupboards and couches and chairs with sledgehammers, it was so fun! I miss stuff like that. And we got the first round of the vaccine too. That was cool, it wasn't very bad.

Yesterday at church was a really special experience. Doug and Jon, both of our recent concerts were able to pass the sacrament. That was so amazing and beautiful to see, and Jon was telling us after church that for years he had passed communion at his past church, but he never felt before what he felt passing the sacrament. The sacrament is such a blessing to take every week, President Nelson emphasized that in his talk a few weeks ago.

All of you have a wonderful week!
