SPRINT WEEK!!! 12-14-2020

Good day to you friends and family, and I hope you all had a fantastic week. So this past week has been outstanding! We had what President and Sister Heap set up as a sprint week in the which we had goals of how many people to invite to church, invite to learn, invite to read the Book of Mormon, and to meet with the members. And we destroyed all of those goals! It was such a wonderful week, the Lord has blessed the work so much, it's amazing to see His hand in our lives. And we finally got SNOW! Yes, you heard that right. We got snow folks. We had a snowball fight that night, and I tried a new recipe of eggnog again. (So good😋)

We also had zone conference again this week, it was way shorter this time which was a little sad. But we learned a lot from President Heap and the Assistants to the President. And I played with Elder Corbett and Crookston on guitar for a musical number. And we sang as a district as well. It was a good conference, with lots of spirit and learning.
So we found 5 new friends to teach this week! It has been absolutely a miracle week! And we had good lessons with all of them, but it's hard to not be there in person. It's hard over video call, but what do you do? We are still able to teach which is such a blessing with technology to have video calls. But we are trying every day to reach out to others to extend a hand of help as Christ did, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to do so. One sad thing from this week is church was cancelled even though there was only 5in of snow, which was hard because we had just invited so many people to church. But next week for sure!
I love you all, and thank you for your support always. Stay safe out there!

Hello everyone! This week has been such a good week! We had some more Elders over to do exchanges with the Zone Leaders this week and it was really fun! And we got to do exchanges ourselves! It was a blast, we had the Gaylord Elders over and the Petoskey Elders. It was super fun, every time we have Elders come over we go to this soda shop called Rocket Fizz. I've been there so many times since I've been here, they  have all these fun flavors of soda! There are so many, and they are all come in bottles. When we are done we smash them with our bare hands. Yeah, that's right. We had a lot of good lessons this week, we met with Jon a few times, Shelly a few times, the Millner family a few times, Maida a few times, and it was great! Unfortunately, something came up for Maida's baptism and it will be postponed for now. But she is still super excited to continue learning and eventually be baptized! And some more exciting news! We were abl...

The only light I need is the light of Christ! 10-2-2021

Hey everyone! So Mexico has still been treating me well. I have been having more appointments with the bathroom this week, and we haven't had power in our apartment since Wednesday. And now we're out of gas for our water heater. But it's all good because the Gospel is true! Don't worry, it still has been a good week, we had a lot of blessings and cool experiences. We had a baptism for our friend Rosa García so that was awesome. They had me conduct so I could work on my Spanish, I didn't want to but it turned out okay.  Rosa was definitely prepared, and she is so good! Her daughter was baptized a few months ago, and I think that's what's been helping her coming into the church and believing all of it. They fed us breakfast one morning since we don't have power and brought us tacos one night. They're so good! Also bus rides here you have to hold on for life!  I wonder how often they have to replace their brakes, they use them a ton. But we rode the b...

Hello everyone! So this week was crazy as normal, and I know I always say this, but there was a lot of miracles! Some brief stuff: It was one of the missionaries birthdays in our zone so we went and bought him a cake and celebrated with him for like 20 min. We visited Central Puebla last P-day, and it's full of shops and culture, it's so cool! And today we went to this cool burger place, the shakes were wild! We had baptismal interviews that went well for our friends thanks to our district leader and mission president. My Spanish has come a long way since I've got here, God is good. It's all Him in this work! I bought some Halloween mask, and yeah. It's really funny too, because kids only want money instead of candy for Halloween. 😂 And they dressed up and did that for 4 days after Halloween too! But yeah, I just want to share miracles and cool moments with you. (And remember, miracles come from acting in faith.) 1. We had a baptism yesterday, and the c...
