MTC is Over... Now the Wait!
Hola Everyone!
So I want to apologize because I forgot to mention that I don't get the opportunity to leave for Michigan until the 19th of October. So I am not in Michigan yet, but I simply cannot wait to get there. But I have these extra 2 weeks to spend with family, which I am thankful for. My dad seems to really enjoy it, he has taken me out to get wood and to run errands and to go work with him. It's strange because I have been told nothing specific to do in this time, but I simply have to choose what will best help me to become a better missionary on my own. It teaches me self-discipline and patience, which I both need.
I miss my district from the MTC very much, but I know we all have to move on in the work and I know they will do fantastic. I could not have asked for better teachers and friends to make over 6 weeks, and we have already talked about plans to meet up afterwards haha. I am the last one to leave in my district.
Another thing was we had General Conference this past weekend where our church leaders, Apostles and Prophet speak to us and uplift and guide us in our day. It was so amazing, I came with different questions and all of them were answered. I also have read a book about our early church history called Saints which taught me things I didn't know and helped grow my faith and testimony of Joseph Smith and the saints that sacrificed so much to build the foundation of this church. I am almost finished with the Book of Mormon again, and it is such an amazing book. I learn more and more each time I read it! These have truly been an amazing 6 weeks. One main lesson I learned from President Nelson is that we need to "Let God Prevail" in our lives in these ever increasing and uncertain times in this world. We have to always trust Him no matter how hard it gets.
Here are the attachments:
