4 Semanas Abajo

Hola family and friends! Another week has gone by, and how do these weeks just fly on by. I only have 2 weeks left in the MTC, and then I have to wait another 2 weeks before I leave for Michigan. I'm sure those 4 weeks will fly by just as fast as these 4 have. So this past Sunday we had our stake presidency released and got a new one put in. I will dearly miss President Williams and his counselor  President Crandell, but I also look forward to our new Stake President, President Hall. It was a very special meeting they had and the spirit was so strong. Today I got to spend some time with two friends of mine, both missionaries as well now, Elder Duncan, and Elder Tregaskes. They are both amazing, it's always a blast hanging out with them. And this Monday, my teacher asked me to learn a song on guitar for class tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.

     So one interesting thing is we have a gym class over zoom once a week and other districts have been dressing up in interesting costumes to work out in, such as ski suits and onesies, so my district decided to dress up as cowboys. (It was my idea.) So that was a blast and brought many laughs. I mean, when you're inside all day most every day learning, what else do you do right? 
     Also, I just want to say that reading the scriptures is the BEST! There is so much good that comes from it and it helps me through every day. This has and will forever be the best experience in my life, even though I'm not even in the field yet. All of you take care out there, I'm so grateful for all of your love and support!

  Hello everyone! This week has been such a good week! We had some more Elders over to do exchanges with the Zone Leaders this week and it was really fun! And we got to do exchanges ourselves! It was a blast, we had the Gaylord Elders over and the Petoskey Elders. It was super fun, every time we have Elders come over we go to this soda shop called Rocket Fizz. I've been there so many times since I've been here, they  have all these fun flavors of soda! There are so many, and they are all come in bottles. When we are done we smash them with our bare hands. Yeah, that's right. We had a lot of good lessons this week, we met with Jon a few times, Shelly a few times, the Millner family a few times, Maida a few times, and it was great! Divisiones y Abuelitas 👵🏽👂👩🏾‍🦽🚗💨 3-21-2022

 Hey der everyone! I hope you have all been well and that you're just happy as can be. Because there's always joy to be found even in the hardest of days. Just remember that. 😁 This week was busy as can be, holy cow. To start off on P-day we had to go print some more stuff for this big stake event we had this Friday. Basically this Friday we had an open doors event in the Stake center because this Sunday they re-dedicated the stake. And for the open doors we had the whole zone go, and they had like a tour of all the organizations in the church, so we had the baptismal room and a presentation as well. But I'll come back to that in a minute. On Monday we had to go print more stuff for that, a lot of stuff, and we dry cleaned our suits, and went back to the church to help with filling up the baptismal font for a baptism the ward was going to have.   Hey everyone! So Mexico has still been treating me well. I have been having more appointments with the bathroom this week, and we haven't had power in our apartment since Wednesday. And now we're out of gas for our water heater. But it's all good because the Gospel is true! Don't worry, it still has been a good week, we had a lot of blessings and cool experiences. We had a baptism for our friend Rosa García so that was awesome. They had me conduct so I could work on my Spanish, I didn't want to but it turned out okay.  Rosa was definitely prepared, and she is so good! Her daughter was baptized a few months ago, and I think that's what's been helping her coming into the church and believing all of it. They fed us breakfast one morning since we don't have power and brought us tacos one night. They're so good!
