1 Month!!

Hello everyone! 

     I hope you had a week as great as you all are! I have been out in the field a month now. Can you believe that!? Because I can't, the time is flying by way too fast. This week was a little crazy, but not too crazy at the same time. We had our normal Tuesday service at Habitat for Humanity and we actually had 3 lessons Wednesday! We were pretty busy that day, it was nice. Elder Keyser and I went down to Manistee to do trade offs with Elder Young our District Leader, and Elder Nichols his companion. Elder Nichols came out the same day as me, and he's supposed to go to Mexico as well. Elder Young is supposed to be in the Congo, and we found out some crazy things while I was with him. Our mission president called and told him that he can go back to the Congo, and Elder Young is leaving December 10! That's crazy! He's finally making it back, we're going to miss him! And we lost Hermana Garcia today from our district, her mission is over her time is up. Sad times for our district.
     While down in Manistee, we found out that someone had driven off the bridge into the deep Manitsee river. It looked like for a good amount of time they were looking for the car it seems. That was not good. Also in one of the lessons this week I held a 13 foot snake!! I did not expect to be doing that on my mission, that was kinda freaky, but it was the guy we were teaching's snake. Also had some more pretty interesting conversations with some people this week over Facebook. And we got to go to a guitar store today, that was so cool! I played an electric guitar for the first time in ages it seems! That was a fun experience, and as well we had this huge game of risk. I started out the worst but got second to last to my companion because I just wanted it to end, it was such a long game. But it was fun.
     So some updates on other things, we still don't have any snow, I don't even know how. And we have had lots of wind and rain but it hasn't been too cold. We got some member meals this week, but found out that since we are in phase 1 with vivid right now, we can no longer accept meals. And Michigan is locking down again Wednesday, I suspect we'll be put in quarantine before not too long. Prayers for this world and the pandemic! Not Phase 3? 3-29-2021

  Hello everyone! This week has been such a good week! We had some more Elders over to do exchanges with the Zone Leaders this week and it was really fun! And we got to do exchanges ourselves! It was a blast, we had the Gaylord Elders over and the Petoskey Elders. It was super fun, every time we have Elders come over we go to this soda shop called Rocket Fizz. I've been there so many times since I've been here, they  have all these fun flavors of soda! There are so many, and they are all come in bottles. When we are done we smash them with our bare hands. Yeah, that's right. We had a lot of good lessons this week, we met with Jon a few times, Shelly a few times, the Millner family a few times, Maida a few times, and it was great!  Hey der everyone! I hope you have all been well and that you're just happy as can be. Because there's always joy to be found even in the hardest of days. Just remember that. 😁 This week was busy as can be, holy cow. To start off on P-day we had to go print some more stuff for this big stake event we had this Friday. Basically this Friday we had an open doors event in the Stake center because this Sunday they re-dedicated the stake. And for the open doors we had the whole zone go, and they had like a tour of all the organizations in the church, so we had the baptismal room and a presentation as well. But I'll come back to that in a minute. On Monday we had to go print more stuff for that, a lot of stuff, and we dry cleaned our suits, and went back to the church to help with filling up the baptismal font for a baptism the ward was going to have.   Hey everyone! So Mexico has still been treating me well. I have been having more appointments with the bathroom this week, and we haven't had power in our apartment since Wednesday. And now we're out of gas for our water heater. But it's all good because the Gospel is true! Don't worry, it still has been a good week, we had a lot of blessings and cool experiences. We had a baptism for our friend Rosa García so that was awesome. They had me conduct so I could work on my Spanish, I didn't want to but it turned out okay.  Rosa was definitely prepared, and she is so good! Her daughter was baptized a few months ago, and I think that's what's been helping her coming into the church and believing all of it. They fed us breakfast one morning since we don't have power and brought us tacos one night. They're so good! Also bus rides here you have to hold on for life!  I wonder how often they have to replace their brakes, they use them a ton. But we rode the b...
