Tractor day 5-16-2022

Hey everyone, this weekly will be short and sweet. We have transfers and again we have to do them on Pday. Woo-hoo. Elder Malacara will be leaving and going to San Martin which is still in the zone. And I will be getting Elder Webster, he is from Minnesota I think so I will get a taste of the Midwest again. And I'm going from being with the shortest Elder in the mission to the tallest Elder. 🥴 - We had some good lessons with people that we're teaching. - We found a family that hasn't been to church in a while, and the grandma isn't a member but says she loves the church. 👀 - We went to a pueblo in our area called Texoloc (pronounced Te-Showlow) and that reminded me of Show Low. 😁 - We had some good carne asada for the first time. - A lot a people canceled lessons. - There was a huge parade thing again and it was a TON of Tractors just taking up the whole road. - Great Devotional by President Nelson and Sister Nelson, go watch it if you didn't see it. I'll wri...

Hey what's up everyone! I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. I hope that you all got something or did something for your mothers and I hope that all you mothers didn't go unappreciated yesterday. I love you all, thank you for what you do for your families and the examples you show to the world. Keep it up! 😁 This week was pretty busy, and I was all over the place. We had exchanges twice, and we had a mission leadership council in Puebla that was really good. I also gave a talk yesterday in church, and we found some new people and invited some people to be baptized. 😁 So we started off some exchanges last Monday night with the Elders from Tezoquipan and it was a good old time. I went in their area with the district leader Elder Gomez, and it was a good day. We taught some members, invited 3 people to be baptized and they all accepted. One of the coolest parts was visiting a recent convert family, and they shared their testimonies with us of how the gospel has changed...

Happy Mother's day!! 5-8-2022

Happy Mother's day Mom!  Sorry I didn't really do anything too special for your special day, but I hope you know I love you and I always think about how grateful I am to have you in my life. I actually had a dream last night where I was working really hard and for a long time on some gift for you for Mother's day, but I don't remember what it was haha. But I least you can know you're in my dreams too, I hope that doesn't sound weird. I just want to take a moment to thank you again for everything you've taught me in my life and all these life skills. I'm glad you were such a great example on how to have a clean house and keep it clean so that the spirit can be more present. And I'm grateful for what you taught me on how to cook, and I do miss the food you make. Thankfully the food here in Mexico is good.  I also was asked last night to give a talk today in church, and so I started preparing a talk thinking of Mother's day, and then Elder Malacar...

Hey everyone, what's up? ¿Que tranza? It's been a normal week, nothing too crazy happened. We did invite two people to be baptized and they accepted so that was awesome. And we found 4 new people to teach and 6 people came to church so that was pretty cool.  We also went to explore more of the area of Totolac our other ward because we had some lessons in person with different people. There is a lot of hills in Tlaxcala, and a big steep one in Totolac, and we had a lesson at the top. So we got some extra exercise there so that was nice. 😅 And we also got rained on pretty good the two days we went to Totolac so that was cool. We visited as well an older lady named Alma who is a less active member. Her husband is always sick in bed so she has to take care of him and she is raising her 3 young grandkids, so we're going to be working on helping them too. Also, we're gonna teach her grandkids so they can be prepared for baptism. We also had a Mission conference again this ...

Hey everyone. Espero que se hayan estado portado bien. 😉 This week was pretty decent. We were able to find some new people to teach and continue teaching the people we've been teaching. And of course there's been some crazy parties, it wouldn't be Mexico without tons of parties. There was a crazy massive quinceañera for 3 days that was basically attached to our house. So we didn't sleep too well... Well first of all, this last P-day we went to this place called Val'Quirico and it was super cool. It was this pretty touristy place that was supposed to look like old Spanish style buildings, and it was a really cool environment. I have lots of pictures from that day.  I've been thinking a lot this week about all the many different types of people I've taught in the mission. And every person is so distinctly different, in many different ways. And each person has their own personal trials, some more noticeable but some deeply hidden. But the gospel of Jesus Chr...

Hey everyone, Happy Easter! I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday with good food and good company or something like that. I hope you all had the time to reflect on the life of the Savior this week, and His sacrifice and eventual resurrection for each and every one of us. When I think about our Redeemer and His resurrection, I always think of this scripture and I love it: 2 Nephi 2:8 Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise. So whenever you get the chance to think and ponder about how blessed you are to have the knowledge of the Resurrection in your lives, there are people out there t...

Basket Tacos and Semana Santa 4-11-2022

Hello everyone! This was my first week being up here in Tlaxcala, and it was a pretty good week. It was kinda a weird week though, it started off really fast, but Friday Saturday and Sunday felt so long. I'm not sure why. But this area is a lot bigger than I thought it would be, everyone told me it would be a tiny town, but it's a lot bigger than my last área. And this was also my first week in Mexico where I only was serving in one ward. But just yesterday on Sunday, we received another ward to work in, so now we have two wards again.  It's gonna be fun. So throughout this week we have been cleaning out the area records and visiting people that haven't been visited in months. It's been good, we found 5 new people to teach and it's been a good time. But it's been interesting, the members don't seem as willing to help us teach and find. But we'll just show them lots of love and serve them. It'll be fun. We also had a Mission Leadership conference ...
